MacKendrick was a “confreres” of the Hon. Dr. Bruce. He has made a couple of brief notations in pencil and written a brief explanation of the two men’s relationship including performing the amputation of Dr. MacKendrick’s forefinger, to the verso of the title page. He’s pasted a small note to the verso of the front flyleaf regarding a story on pp.196. The dustjacket has numerous chips, creases and areas of loss. Now protected in archival brodart jacket. Colonel The Honourable Herbert Alexander Bruce, MD, LLD Bruce was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Ontario between1932-1937. He served as the Conservative M of P for Parkdale, Toronto 1940-1946.
