Three quarter leather. Eight double gilt bands to the spine. Bright gilt titles to spine. Marbled boards have moderate shelfwear to show. Moderately bumped and rubbed to extremities especially the corners and rear spine edge. The interior is clean and solid excepting a small bookplate to the front paste down, some minor foxing, one or two neat margin notations and a “slash” stain to pp.142 -143, text still very much legible, otherwise a nice solid, clean copy.
