4th Edition, published 1812. Three quarter leather over boards. Chipped and rubbed to extremities. Small area of loss to the front board and head of the spine. Somewhat faded gilt titles to spine with gilt rules. 9 mm puncture to the front board that penetrates about three-quarters thru the text block. Interior is solid. Very neat, copious, handwritten notes to the blank pages thru out and to the rear pastedown. Some in pencil, some in very beautiful old fountain pen. Some staining and age toning through out.
