SIGNED on a loosely laid in bookplate by Mr. Mowat. Published in 1966, first Canadian edition. Very gently read and not remaindered. Interior is crisp, clean and solid excepting neat Christmas gift inscription to the ffep. Corners are sharp and square. Bright, clean titles to spine and front board. Handful of very small, faint stains to the rear board and very light soiling to the pale yellow boards. Unclipped dustjacket is lightly bumped and rubbed to extremities with a handful of short tears and small chips, moderate shelfwear to show, especially the rear wrap. Now protected in archival brodart jacket. The sequel to the wonderful “Lost in the Barrens” and a great example of Mowat’s love and understanding of the North and the obvious inspiration it provided to his writing.
