As stated on the title page, "Privately reprinted by courtesy of Small, Maynard and Company. Copyright, 1905 by Copeland & Day". Originally published in 1895 by Copeland and Day. (Purportedly only 400 copies printed) Grey boards are relatively clean, lightly rubbed to extremities. A vellum-like quarter backing to the spine is sunned a bit soiled. The printed title label is still firmly pasted to the front board, shows some light soiling. The black ink title on the label is bold and not faded. Previous owner's neat name in fountain pen to the ffep. The cream coloured interior pages are remarkably bright and clean. It would appear this copy is unread or very gently read at worst.
