Volume III Number 3 published February 1, 1920. This very scarce, large 14" x 10.5", copy of “Tale Spins” is 101 years old and in remarkably good condition. The interior is clean and unmarked excepting a few minor finger smudges and the odd tiny stain. There are small rust stains throughout at the spine fold from the staples. Two short tears to the fore-edge, one being 1.5cm and the other being 2cm. The front and rear “wraps” are very gently bumped with a small handful of tiny nicks and very short tears. Some light soiling to show, primarily to the rear wrap. The original recipients address is stamped vertically in black ink in a small font to the outer border of the fantastic Robert Lemen front wrap illustration. The body of the magazine has separated from the staples but is complete; the center two-page “fold” is loose. These issues are easily addressable by a qualified conservator. The advertising within and the Personnel Sections are particularly interesting, reflecting life in the 1920’s. Copies of “Tale Spins” are rarely listed. Photographs available upon request.
