Interior is clean and unmarked excepting a tidy bookplate and a neat signature and date, 12-25-1912 to the verso of the front paste down and ffep. Odd finger smudge or bit of foxing. Pages very mildly foxed to extremities. All 22 pasted-in “plates” are present. They are in exquisite condition with bright, vibrant colours with tissue guards in place. Green cloth/buckram boards show some light gold stains. Corners are sharp and square. Bright gilt titles to spine and front board, intricate gilt stamped illustration to the front board. A bit of the title and illustration to the front board has tarnished a bit near the spine edge. This copy comes with the scarce, original box which has been repaired and is solid with rubbing and chipping to extremities. The 9cm X 12cm illustration pasted to the top of the box is slightly faded but complete... Second label to the edge of the box top has a 5cm x 1cm area of loss to the top edge affecting the word “Shakespeare”. Please inquire for shipping costs to your address.
