Gently read. Green pebbled boards have some soiling to show. Moderately bumped and rubbed to extremities. Gilt edges all the way 'round. Bright gilt titles and devices to spine. Ornate gilt titles within elaborate gilt device with double gilt rules to the front board. Interior is sound with foxing throughout and some finger smudges. "Bound by W. Bone and Son London E.C 76 Fleet St." label to the rear pastedown. Very neat wedding gift inscription to Ellen from Harriet, in fountain pen to the ffep dated1868. Below the inscription is a card pasted in dated 1925, gifting the book to "my dear little granddaughter, Lillian" from Ellen. On the next page a photo is pasted in with the inscription, "Lillian and Mother, aged 10 months, 1919".
